Our Pastor- Mark Isbell

Bro. Mark was called to Harmony Baptist in November 2010. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University. After graduation Bro Mark served as a Youth Minister in Cedar Hill, Texas and Coushatta, Louisiana. Bro Mark’s greatest joy is to see people changed by the Gospel of Jesus. He strongly believes in the importance of each person serving the local church through their Spiritual Gift. Bro Mark is excited to see what God is going to do through him and Harmony Baptist Church in the coming years. Bro Mark was married to Alexis in 2003, and she is his partner in ministry and life. They have been blessed with two children Elijah James Isbell (2007) and Sara Jo Isbell (2010)
Our Mission & Vision
The mission of Harmony Baptist Church is to Worship God, Walk in His Word, Work in His Power, and Welcome others to Jesus Christ. Everything that we do is rooted in one of these four purposes. Our vision is to transform the Caldwell and Somerville area for the name of Christ.
Statement of Beliefs
Harmony Baptist Church affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. A short explanation of our beliefs can be found below.
God: There is only one true God who is the creator and sustainer of everything in the world. God is holy, perfect, and desires an individual relationship with you.
Scripture: The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. God authored the Word, Jesus fulfilled the Word, and the Holy Spirit brings the Word to us.
Jesus: Jesus is the son of God, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life on Earth with the purpose of dying on the cross for man’s sins. Three days after His death, He arose from the grave and returned to the Father. In the near future he will return for His church.
Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer to counsel, comfort, and lead believers to follow after the Word of God.
Salvation: Salvation only comes through belief and acceptance of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as an atonement for our sins. There is no other way to God except through Jesus Christ.
The Church: The church is the gifted body of believers who have joined together to do the work of Jesus Christ until He returns.
Harmony Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention.
