One of the core values in our missions statement is to Work in His Power. This means to be involved in the ministry of Jesus Christ by using the Spiritual Gifts that He has given us. At Harmony Baptist Church we have many opportunities for a person to serve in a ministry.
Children’s Ministry
During the school year our children (ages 3-6th grade) our involved with TeamKid. TeamKid is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All part of TeamKid- Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation- connect to teach life lessons to children. TeamKid meets Sunday nights at 5:00 PM
Nursery
Caring for your children is very important to Harmony Baptist church. We want all parents to feel comfortable during worship and know that their babies are taken care of. Harmony has just finished renovating both the nursery and toddler room so that your children can feel comfortable and at home. If you would like to help in this ministry please let us know.
Worship Ministry
The first core value in our Mission Statement is to Worship God. Worship can be found and expressed in many forms, but the most common form of worship is music. If would like to be involved in the Worship Ministry join them in the sanctuary at 5:00 PM on Sunday Nights for practice.
Sunday School
Walking in the Word of God on a weekly basis with a small group of peers can help a person grow more in their spiritual walk than any other aspect of church life. Being involved in a Sunday School class is the greatest decision you can make for you, your marriage, and even your family. We have classes for all ages and gifted teachers. Making the choice to be involved in a Sunday School class is a major step towards spiritual maturity.
Youth Ministry
Harmony Baptist Church has kicked off their new youth ministry on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. Daniel Cross and Steve Yeldell are the new co directors of the youth. The church van is out every Wednesday night picking up youth. If you are in 7th-12th grade and need a ride just let us know.
Ushers
The usher team at Harmony Baptist Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a new adventure in the life of Harmony Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. If you are gifted at audio editing, social networking, web design, or multimedia marketing then we would love to find a place to use your gifts.
